Few artists have impressed me more than Coco Apunnguaq Lynge, when in the spring of 2023 she presented me with her very first sketches for her first stamp job. It was simply breathtaking. Take a look for yourself.
For the stamp, I chose the image of the small girl holding her teddy bear. For the souvenir sheet (a collectible item holding four copies of the stamp) I chose the man with his eyes closed while an Inuit spirit puts its comforting hand on his temple. For one of the first day covers (another collectible item) I chose the elderly couple. The final result in the shape of the single stamp, the souvenir sheet and the First Day Cover tells it all. Coco is quite unique, as is her art.”
